Easy to Use.

Just bought this 3 weeks ago. This replaced an older Ge Microwave, so it was easy to intall. It fit into old microwaves bracket. Easy to use and so far works great. Love the melt feature. no more burning the butter when melting.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Poor exhaust fan venting

As a homebuilder I've used GE appliances, i.e. OTR microwave, for years. None of my homeowners have complained about the recirculating vent performance. The session is adequate for venting from the range.
This model microwave's venting design chokes off the right side fan draw by trying to move air up, then left, then out. As a result steam from right side range flows over the microwave face straight up over cabinet face leave both soaking wet.

Crazy Stupid Easy Install

Forget the fact the microwave has absolutely every function I could think of, but the installation wall bracket that comes attached to the back of the unit made it crazy stupid easy to install. I'm 60 years old, handicapped in one arm and I still managed to install it myself that's how easy it was. But you MUST read the installation guide FIRST!

I just purchased this item & had it installed. Love the features and its easy to use. Hate the placement of the lights. It really does NOT provide task lighting when cooking. Lights are set way too far back of the unit to be of any real usefulness.

Seems like GE over time is offering less for more bucks.
Returned 1.9CF version (JVM7195KD2WW) due to low power output (tested IEC 705 & JIS methods) and dark interior. Settled on 1.7 CF JVM6175DKWW with white interior and better demonstrated heating performance. It's a shame that so many nice features have been lost in the GE product line. My 5-yr old GE MW could pop small 1-1/2 oz bags of corn, soften butter, and had a programmable night light. Had to drill additional mounting holes in cabinet because the locations are different than new and older 2/1.9 CF versions.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
