New Microwave

I purchased this micro in Aug. because my old micro had to be replaced. I purchased a GE because my previous micro lasted 28 years and was also a GE. No brainer.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great Replacement

I bought this a couple of weeks ago and so far so good. A lot more features than my previous microwave and the sensor cooking is an added bonus. All in all pleased with the product.

standard microwave

I have been using this microwave for 2 months. Compared to the 20+ yr old one that was replaced, the microwave has a couple features I like. The digital readout is easier to see in the sun compared to the old red LED readout. There is a rotating surface for more even cooking. Best of all-- you can turn Off the "ding". The feature for smart defrosting has not been used. The rest of the control features are the same as my 20+ year old microwave.
The sound when cooking could be a lower. I have listened to other new microwaves that had a more muffled and less obnoxious sound.

It's a standard microwave. I'm fine with it for the price I paid.
I gave it 3 stars because I have not had it very long. If you ask me in 5 years and it still works, I would give it 4 stars.

Bought this to replace a similar model. So far so good but they don't make them like they used to. My last GE microwave of similar features (the one a step lower than this) only lasted a little under 8 years. Hope to get at least that with this one under proper care. If not...so long GE!

Bought a complete GE suite, including this MW two months ago. Looks great and performs well. My only comment would be concerning the fan....it's very loud and there's little difference between high and low speeds. Fan motor is like a jet engine.
I would recommend this to a friend!
