Poor Countertop Lighting and Other Functions

I had a GE model jvm1451 which died and I replaced it with a model JVM6175DK2BB. They both have Cooktop Lighting, two bulbs. The old unit had a light on each side of of the bottom of the unit which lighted the cooktop well. The new unit has both bulbs in a central location at the back of the unit and the lighting is more like a dim nightlight on the bright setting than Cooktop Lighting. The lighting is basically useless.
The display intensity is so bright, it is hard to look at even during the day and there appear to be no way to adjust it except on or off.
The allowed time from closing the door to starting the unit is very short making synchronizing food cooking in the microwave and stove top very annoying.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

In few days it started humming sound. While operating humming sound is on and off. I assume something abstracting turn table operation or mechanism is faulty.

Love my new microwave. Love that it is mounted on the wall we have so much more counter space now. Love the slate color it matches our GE refrigerator I bought a few months ago.

You get what you pay for!

I knew when I purchased this product it would be a low end machine but it was lower than I expected. For example, the clock light is bright and there is no adjustment and lights up the house at night. The rotating plate does not move in a smooth motion. The cooking level and time are always not the same. Sometimes I have to add time to get the required heat.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great microwave/vent hood

It's been easy to use. Love that it's quieter than our last microwave/vent hood. I will say that I am a bit disappointed that the light that shines down on the stove top are not very bright. It has two settings: Regular and Nightlight. I like a lot of light to shine down on my stove top.
