We really like the GE microwave. It offers many options, operates quietly and the door opens and closes quietly as well. It has plenty of room for large dishes and heats food evenly.

We bought this to replace our GE Profile™ 2.1 Cu. Ft. Over-The-Range Sensor Microwave Oven PVM9005EJES. We paid a lot for the profile and in the end it failed miserably after a year and a half, so for this go around we decided to go with match to our existing kitchen appliances and needed functionality without the huge price tag. This had all the features that we used regularly in the old, plus the inside is white so we can actually see inside of it, big plus! This has the side controls which I thought I wouldn’t like because of reach but I like better because not all the stove splatter on the controls! The keypad is much easier to read then the old profiles. The door is not 6 inches longer than necessary like the profile so no ducking out of the way constantly! The range hood lights are halogen and so far I haven’t had to replace them yet, but the profile had incandescent and I replaced every other day because the filaments constantly broke. I don’t like that there isn’t a nightlight timer but the lights do have a nightlight dimness. If this oven lasts as long or longer than the old profile I will feel that I got my moneys worth, but I’m still dreaming of the day when GE puts the higher wattage back into the microwaves and the led lights standard.
