This one is basically the same as my former microwave 7 1/2 years old. The only thing I don't like is the touch panel is solid black and you can't read it at all at night. It doesn't light up. I have to put the kitchen ceiling light on to use it. So that should be changed.

Some of the functions are kind of silly. My previous GE profile was fairly straightforward and most of the functions made sense.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The microwave itself is a good product and worth the value. A softer door closure would be preferred but overall no problems with performance.

We bought this one because the price was right. Others had nicer features but we just wanted a normal, minimal microwave...and that's what we got. We like it fine!
We had a GE "Spacemaker" which quit after 15 years, and since the exhaust vent was located thru the wall horizontally and already in the correct location, we shopped for a another GE. It's a fine machine. Four stars.

I had a whirlpool that outlasted my LG products by about 5 years so when mine finally quit I got this microwave and new dishwasher. I like the features and it looks great!

This was a replacement for a Maytag microwave. It fit nicely in the limited space that we had. The turntable is smaller than our previous unit, but we should be able to adjust. The new GE unit has some great advantages over the Maytag: on/off for turntable, more powerful fan for ventilation. Working great so far and we like the look of the stainless steel.
