Fan is way too loud even on low setting and honestly should have more than high and low settings as competitors have up to 5 settings and are much quieter. Doesn't heat near as fast as my last brand either

We purchased the microwave for a kitchen redo
on December 20, 2019

The microwave worked very well for 1 year and 11 months. We WERE satisfied with it until it stopped heating (which is kinda the main reason we had it installed). It's being diagnosed at an independent repair shop. Worst case, I suspect is the magnatron, however it could be one of the other faults on the troubleshooting list. Whatever the issue is, it should not have failed in less than two years! Now, we wait in fear that one of the other GE appliances we had installed will fail as well (dishwasher, refrigerator, range).
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

LOVE this microwave! Anything would be better than what we had before, but I would buy this microwave again a million times over. I love that there are options for uses that are frequently selected, so i don't have to hit 5 buttons (I swear I'm not as lazy as I sound). I also love how quiet it is.

Installation and set up is user friendly. Our kitchen looks way better and blends perfectly with the paint color of our kitchen cabinets. All the control features/functions work with no known issues.
