My husband and I installed without any problems, replacing a 14 year old GE Microwave. Love the Express Cook feature for an easy warm up, not all microwaves have this!. So happy with our purchase!

Good with a few design flaws

Aesthetically speaking, it’s gorgeous and it matches the rest of our GE slate kitchen appliances purchased 4 years prior!
Pros:
•Overall general appearance
•Overall general appearance
Cons:
•Too dark to see control buttons unless kitchen lights are all on
•LED time display is incredibly bright compared to the stove light which is a moderate green
•Surface light is a single light in a situated far to the back of the underside of the microwave which is an inconvenient location for us
•Microwave door has a cheap/rickety feel when opening and closing (feels lightweight and less substantial than our 20 year old microwave which was still working in perfect condition, but was just the wrong color for our suite)
•Too dark to see control buttons unless kitchen lights are all on
•LED time display is incredibly bright compared to the stove light which is a moderate green
•Surface light is a single light in a situated far to the back of the underside of the microwave which is an inconvenient location for us

Overall, I would not recommend the purchase of this exact microwave to someone looking for a GE appliances in the slate color. I would recommend the top of the line in slate *in hopes* that these design flaws would not be present.
