Great microwave with lots of great features. The door is easy to open and close. The buttons are a little hard to push. That is the only reason I downgraded it a star.

missing a few great features

We were replacing a 13 year old, over the stove, white GE microwave that worked great up until the day it passed on. First off because it was white we seemed to have limited choices in today's world of colors. Second the rotary table is so much smaller than our previous model, new 11 1/2" compared to 13 1/2" in the old, same size microwaves. Third we wanted the sensor heating because we use the reheat button quite often, on the old unit when you press the reheat button the unit starts up immediately and reheats what ever you have placed inside the microwave. The new unit was advertised as having the sensor reheat button,but when we tried to use it would not start immediately , you have 4 choices to pick from before the microwave will start and you must guess which of the 4 choices is closest to what you are reheating, a guessing game.Forth, the surface light , there is only one now and it is all the way to the back of the unit and it does not light up the entire stove surface. Lastly, while trying to figure out the reheat button I foolishly thought I would read the instruction book, wrong, there is no microwave instruction book on how to use the microwave. To get a instruction book you must call GE and it takes over 2 weeks to get it shipped to you.This new unit was like a step back in time or maybe GE was trying to save money on the design, The 13 year old unit I removed had all none of the negatives that I have listed. Welcome to the future.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
