I love the look and features of the microwave. However, after only a few months of use, the "steam sensor" failed and now none of the preset functions are working.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Installation/mounting issues

The product works fine. The steel wall mounting plate is too thin and flimsy - easy to bend when hooking/unhooking the unit in the initial installation motion. It needs one additional toggle bolt to strengthen the wall plate installation (only one stud was available and used.

They installation was easy. Replace an existing range hood with microwave and it works great with lots of features.

I purchased and installed this GE Microwave Oven in May 2019 and waited till now (02-2020) to submit my review so I can see how the Microwave Oven hold out. First impression when I had it installed, I noticed this "new" oven appears to be flimsy as compared to the old GE Oven I have to replaced. After 3 months, the handle started to come loose. It functions OK otherwise. If I didn't have to purchase a GE Microwave Oven to match my other GE appliances, I would not have made this purchase.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
