This microwave is sleak and fits well over our stove. All functions seem to work well and enjoy the options such as "melt" which is awesome if you bake frequently and need melted butter or chocolate.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Cheaper quality than I expected from GE

This microwave is cheaper quality than I expected from GE. We have only had it a little over a month, and already the plastic sheeting over the number pad is bubbling up and starting to peel off the number one. When you push buttons or open/close the door it creaks in ways that just sound like cheap plastic construction. And above the door, where the vents are, there are three openings with no type of grill/vent cover over them where dust can settle in and things in the cabinet above can fall into the open top.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Lasted 19 months - Disappointing

Very disappointed - replacing after 19 months - turns on, lights up, everything normal, except it won't heat anything. I have tried unplugging, waiting and plugging back in, and no change. Have tried every different setting...doesn't matter. Won't heat. I was in the middle of heating multiple items - 6 minutes, then 4 minutes, and then another 6 minute item....it didn't even begin to defrost or heat it. I had asked for the warranty when I purchased it because I had read reviews about the handle delaminating, but it didn't even have a chance to do that. Apparently the retailer inadvertently put the warranty on the fridge instead of the microwave, so now I'm out that money.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Beware of the Mounting Bracket Template!

So far so good, although I've only been using it for a day. The reason that I only gave three stars is because the template for the rear wall bracket has the mounting holes in the wrong place. Fortunately I decided to match up the bracket against the template before I drilled the holes. Had I not done that, the bracket would have been in the wrong place, and the microwave would have been unmountable. GE, please pay attention to this post and fix the template.
