The control panel is harder to read than our previous model. Is there a way to illuminate it that I can't figure out? There is a button for illumination but only seems to apply to the clock.

AFTER MUCH RESEARCH, WE ENDED UP WITH ALMOST THE EXACT SAME UNIT THAT JUST DIED AFTER OVER 17 YEARS OF SERVICE. WE ARE IN OUR EARLY SEVENTIES, SO WE HAVE PURCHASED MANY APPLIANCES OVER THE YEARS, MANY OF WHICH HAVE BEEN GE. IT ALSO HELPED THAT IT WAS A FEATURED PRODUCT AT OUR FAVORITE APPLIANCE STORE, WITH OUR FAVORITE SALES ASSOCIATE. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS MICRO WAVE!
