We owned another product and when it died we replaced with this GE, and we are so pleased with every feature that we will be GE people from here on in!

We replaced an old GE over the range unit with this one. Happy that I could use the old wall plate. This made installation easy

SS Microwave

Bought This Microwave 30' To replace a 36'. Had to make some modifications such as the Microwave Bracket. Because it was being replaced with the smaller microwave in also needed to order a filler kit to make up the space difference. the Stainless Kit ordered was a JX36BSS. It did attach to the 30' JVM6175K3SS. It looks Great !

Well made product. I was very happy that I was able to use the existing holes in the wall for the GE microwave I was replacing. The only thing I'm not clear on is the Reheat option which is the additional cost of this model over other models. It gives you the choice of plate, soup, veg, or pasta. What about Tupperware? I tried to reheat pasta in Tupperware and selected pasta. The reheat option is supposed to automatically stop cooking when the food is heated properly but it did not and I had to stop it manually because I heard popping noises. I suspected this meant that it was cooked enough and I was right. The food was extremely hot. So based on this, I probably would not spend the extra money for the reheat option next time.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The microwave is wonderful! Works great and looks good... it does, however, get smudges from fingerprints
