Not too big!

I was looking to replace our nearly 30 year old microwave and most available options were simply too tall. We'd have to have leaned over to see the controls of our stove with most options out there. GE keeps the height of many of their models at just over 15 inches, instead of 17 or so that many other brands offer. If you're building your kitchen around a microwave, fine...if you're replacing and don't want a huge monstrosity hanging from your cabinets, you can't go wrong.

Great value for the price. Our previous GE microwave lasted 15 years. Bought a similar one to replace it. Easy to install.

Not as good, as it should be

First problem after installation - weak and uneven heat. Previous one heat 12 oz. cup of water to 120 deg..F for 30 seconds. This one need 1.5 min. for the same result. Second problem surface up after 3 weeks after installation - control doesn't follow routine sequence of command - after depressing "potato" button it starting work, omitting quantity setting command. Third - poor design: afful location of the oven surface light - it does light rear wall and back of the oven control box.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This microwave cooks very well, but I cannot figure out the power setting. I will need to go back through the users manual though. It also looks very nice!

Great microwave

We recently replaced our old GE microwave that lasted over 20 years with this one. We are very happy with it as it works similarly to the old one. My only thought is that the black control panel is hard to see in lower light. Everything else we are happy with.
