So Far, So Good

Being rather inexperienced at appliance installation, we opted to try this brand a 2nd time solely on the hopes that the brackets to mount the microwave had not changed. We were pleased to find that is the case, even with the slight difference in sizes. The only thing we had to do was drill new top holes in the cabinetry. The microwave went in fairly easily. This model is quieter than the old and the LED is brighter so we are mostly pleased. The only downside so far is that the 3 grooves on the glass plate are not tall enough to keep it in place at times. Occasionally we will hear a loud "thunk" and notice the plate has stopped spinning and have to stop the microwave to re-seat the plate properly. Annoying, but not completely deal breaking. Hoping this one lasts more than a year.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great microwave

When our last GE microwave finally bit the dust (10 years), we quickly realized how dependent we have become on it. Even though we seldom complete an entire meal with it. This unit had some good basic features plus the sensor, so a small upgrade from our previous unit. My son and I installed it ourselves and it was quite easy. Would have been even easier if we had read the directions more carefully.
