Replacing Microwave

Replacing my old GE Microwave was VERY EASY. It fit perfectly in the already installed wall bracket. Tip- go to the GE website for a comparable GE microwave which will make installation easy as you may not have to replace the old bracket.

The numbers are a bit hard to press, don’t know if it is because it’s new, but I do have to focus on pressing the numbers and letters a bit harder than I would have expected.

I only use the timer, surface light, and fan and those all operate efficiently. I don't believe in microwaving. Not great for the health. This one came with the house.

Nice Microwave

I purchase this product because it fit perfectly in the old space. It has a good rating and reviews however it lacks a wire shelf which my previous microwave had. I think that the unit should have a better warranty especially pertaining to the magnetron since other manufacturing guarantee theirs for 10 years where GE only has it for 1 year. Just had it installed yesterday so I can't tell you how it will hold up. My old GE lasted 13 years.

Waited two months and it does not work

We needed a very special size microwave and this met the requirements. We had to wait two months for it and when it came, it did not work. Repairman came and found that the door latch was defective. He ordered a new part and rigged a part to work in the meantime. Still do not have the part and must jiggle the door to make it work. Have contacted GE and have asked for a replacement machine. A brand new machine should not need servicing upon arrival. Very unsatisfactory.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
