Does the job

I bought this at an appliance store because they carry the products that work. The microwave design is a proven long time unit. Previous one lasted 11 years. The unit used the same wall attachments as the previous one so installation was quick. If new, hire an installer.
I would recommend this to a friend!

The door sounds cheap to open and close.
In spite of the turntable there are still hots pots in the food.
The "add 30 seconds" feature does not work simultaneously with other functions (with the timer, for example - you must press cook/time/start.)
The buttons are hard to press. Literally.

Great microwave. Has lots of different features and cooking functions. Inside is spacious and recessed turntable gives extra room. Stainless steel exterior looks sleek and modern. Installation was easy

If I leave food in (before cooking) too long it forgets that it is there and I have to open and shut the door before it will turn on.

We bought this unit to match a new GE Range. It was easy to DIY install, looks good, and works flawlessly. Our old microwave was 40 years old. If this one lasts half as long, we'll be happy.

We needed to replace our 13 year old Profile model. Wanted the same one but GE only made it with a convection feature And didn’t need that feature. In reviews I read before purchasing many said you could use the same mounting template which is not correct as the mounting plate that come with it only has two flanges instead of 5 that was on the old one. This microwave is louder then the one we replaced but not terrible. Our unit is white so the key pad area stands out very clearly. Lastly, it would be nice if GE would not change the mounting position of both the wall plate and the holes required in the cabinet. After having to install 3 microwaves our upper cabinet bottom looks a bit like Swiss cheese.
I would recommend this to a friend!
