It fits in the same space as my previous one

The size and fit was my number one concern. It also has very similar features in the same locations as my previous GE product, which I value. However, I am not pleased with the volume of the fan when the unit is operational. Also when shutting the door, it is noisy. Hope I get used to it, as it's operational and that was the second most important thing after fitting into the existing space.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We bought this microwave to replace a failing older model and we were very excited that it has the sensor features built in. However, the sensor reheat functions do not perform as desired and mostly leave reheated food over cooked. Also, our old GE had two nicely placed lights on the underside that lined up above the burners of the cooktop. This new model has one small light in the back center which casts ugly shadows and does not illuminate the cook surface adequately.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Works well but vent fan has NO suction

I bought this over-the-range microwave specifically because it had a vent fan that recirculated air through a charcoal filter. The unit is installed correctly and air does blow out the front top section when the fan is turned on. Unfortunately, that 300 com advertised doesn’t apply to the suction air flow. It doesn’t suck anything except suckers who buy it.

Installation was a easy but some helpful ideas

We have just started using it. Consider putting the Charcoal Filter info earlier in the install manual. Page 23, C6 would be another helpful item before the install since every model has one not matter install method.

This GE microwave was easy to install, has a clear panel to read options and is very easy to use. It’s roomy and not very loud when running. The clock is bright and easy to read and overall it is easy to clean.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Wow! What a Microwave!

We just purchased our new stainless steel GE Over the Range microwave, to replace our 23 year old microwave that was still working great, but no longer matched our new updated kitchen. What a surprise! It has so many new features and works even better. Happy wife equals happy life. Thanks GE, we love your products!
