Grease filters fall off — design flaw

Has to replace previous one that failed just after 1 year. They changed the model number and the new one has a few annoying design changes. The turntable does not fit flush in a recess in the interior so it is easy to hit the edge of the turntable with a dish when putting it in the microwave. This makes it more likely that the turntable will get chipped or broken. The grease filters fallout constantly just from the closing of the door of the microwave. GE said they would send replacement filters but they have not. Old design had one larger filter that stayed in. I had the previous microwave installed by a GE dealer and they installed the damper for rear venting. Now, just over a year later , GE says that for the current model they do not recommend installing the supplied damper for rear venting and that installing it will void the warranty. Because of this I had to open up a wall and add a damper in my ductwork. I’m stuck with GE because we selected a GE exclusive color— I would not do that again. The only positive of this microwave is that the sensor reheat sort of works. The previous model had the same sensor reheat functions, but they never worked
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great replacement

Easy to install used same bracket as the previous GE MW it replaced Top screws moved some but had two holes in same place as require for new MW as 2 GE MW previously installed. Have a helper to lift into place makes it a lot easier to self install.

The microwave is a good buy for the price with features that add convenience. I am very happy with the appearance of the oven. The beverage feature reheats liquid to a temperature that is not to hot or too cold for my personal preference. The clock is a bright white that I find easy to look at. The light under the microwave lights up the stove top in a satisfactory manner. I use the vent fan in the re circulation mode. The fan does come on every time the oven is used and is slightly high in volume, but not to the point of being annoying.
The instillation instructions are straight forward and easy for most diy types to easily install the oven.
The oven did not come with a owners manual, and the glass turn plate was chipped. That is why I took one star off. I called customer service and was very happy with the service I received from the agent that took my call. She said that I would receive a owners manual in 7 to 10 days, and the chipped plate would be replaced by the parts department.
So yes, I would recommend this oven.

The microwave revolving plate sometimes doesn't sit down exactly and doesn't turn. I just readjust it and all's fine. The plastic punch in pad does leave lots of fingerprints. Wish it was glass instead of shiny black plastic. Really like the large oven area and fingerprint proof stainless. Would like to have LED lights underneath for the range with 3 settings instead of 2.
