New Quinn Micro Wave

The features we like about this unit are the recessed tray, the "add 30 seconds" feature and the two different light levels. The only thing we don't like is that the LED display is too bright. Would prefer if it was green lie our previous unit.

I am still getting used to it. A couple issues—I don’t like the way Express Cook works since it is 1,2, etc. minutes, and you have to use Cook time for shorter and longer times in between. I also find the Defrost less than intuitive. Also, the ring under the plates broke (or was cracked) when we got it so needed Supergluing. BONUS (I think): the microwave heats up with the range light on so I can use it to raise my bread dough!!

Really loud fan

We have liked GE microwaves in the past. Easy controls, powerful cooking. We liked the smudgeproof finish. However this one has a really loud fan. When you are cooking, the fan is so loud you cannot hear anything nearby. I like to watch TV while I cook and I have to turn it up really loud to hear over the microwave fan. Disappointing.
