Not powerful enough/fast enough

Not powerful enough. I have to wait and wait and extend my time. Ridiculous! It’s a microwave, not a campfire. 21st century, not 19th

Hi Super 79 - We are truly sorry to hear of the difficulty you are having with your microwave. The issue you've described is certainly not one we would expect to hear and can understand your concern. There is a simple test you can perform to determine if the microwave is operating properly. Place a glass bowl (like a 2qt. glass measuring bowl) with 1 qt. of water in the center of the microwave cavity. The water must be 59-75 degrees F. (15-24 degrees Celsius). Heat the water for exactly 2 minutes 30 seconds on High (this is the default setting). A temperature rise in the range of 28-40 degrees F. (15-22 degrees Celsius) indicates that the oven is cooking properly.
If the microwave fails the test, we would recommend having the unit checked by service during your one year warranty. If needed, please call 1-800-432-2737 M-F 7am-10pm, Sat 8am-6pm, Sun 8am-6pm EST to schedule a service appointment. We hope this helps. Vikki@GEA

Nice microwave

We purchased this to replace our 2 year old Insignia microwave. The door on that unit was long and heavy, with controls on the door, wearing out the connections fast. This GE model has a standard door with handle, maki g the opening and closing simpler. Only have it a few days but pleaded with the ease of use. Looks great, too.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Looks great but noisy and door isn't straight

Looks great but noisy and door isn't lined up. Works better than last GE I had for 18 years but is MUCH louder.

I love my new microwave! It is easy to use , also it is attractive. It replaced a GE microwave. But we decided to change our color scheme in the kitchen ! All new appliances . The first time I have ever had all new appliances! So exciting! I am still waiting for delivery of my refrigerator! I am sure I will love it too ! Love my kitchen range ! And my dishwasher is so quiet ! Love the GE Profile line !

Only rated 2 stars because not satisfied with some under microwave features on bottom of over burners of microwave oven. Light is too far back to wall illuminating more of the stove buttons rather than directly over cooking area so I have to use other lighting in kitchen as
well during cooking and air filter in centered in middle front of bottom of microwave verses not directly over cooking burners.
