I love it!

My previous microwave was 27 years old and only 750 watts. I am really enjoying my new GE. It heats faster and I am really enjoying having a turntable. Glad I chose a GE.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Disappointed in GE. Loud!!!

Bought to replace GE microwave that went out after 8 years. Only reason I purchased GE again was that I assumed installation would be easier, thinking to wall bracket and top connect holes would line up -WRONG!! Basically and brand new install. As I needed to use newer wall bracket and re-drill top holes. Once installed, looks nice and does what a microwave should. However, the fan is ridiculously loud. Loud where every member of my family has noticed and has asked if something was wrong with it. Needless to say, not thrilled with GE and I after this microwave inevitably goes out, I will be moving on to a competitor, as I have also had problems with my GE oven, and GE dishwasher. GE is not what they used to be. Disappointed.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Very Quiet and Looks Great!

This microwave is much quieter than the Whirlpool it replaced (albeit the WP was about 15 years old). Looks great. The buttons are set up great so that I can find the stovetop vent and light buttons easily when needed. Easier to hang the bracket since it's one bar instead of the old "U-shaped" bracket. If there's one thing that they need to improve, the handle and at least the bottom of the door should be "fingerprint-resistant" stainless steel, or another material entirely. We are constantly cleaning smudges off of those two areas.

Nice look

I’ve previously owned 3 GE convection/microwave ovens that I loved. I remodeled my kitchen and purchased all new GE appliances. I knew I wouldn’t need a convection/microwave this time and opted for a basic microwave. That being said, I found that I had been spoiled. The door does close a little hard. I can deal with that. I have two minor complaints. It is far noisier than I would like (I know many people said it was quiet). The touch screen is great and provides everything I need, but the touch is harder than I expected. Not the light touch that I’m used to on my other appliances. All in all, I’ve always been happy with my GE appliances.
