We replaced a Hotpoint microwave which reliably worked for over 15 years with this GE model. So far, we are very pleased with our purchase. It has an elegant, simple design with intuitive, pushbutton controls.

Fit like a glove!

My biggest fear was the new Microwave would not fit, but the unit was a match! Our old GE microwave served us well and I wanted another GE model to replace it. This model is easy to clean and has more programed buttons and is just as quiet as the last GE microwave. So I got my wish, a new GE over the range Microwave! Thank you GE!

sooooooooooooooo loud and runs hot

I wish I'd done more research. It looks great, but is sooooooooo loud. I have a tech coming in a few days to ensure there's nothing wrong; however if I'm told this is just the way it is, will not have them leave until it's uninstalled and ready for me to return. My kitchen/house is just too small for it. Also, the range light is HOT. Hot as in if you leave the range light on overnight and are storing something in the microwave, it will either cook or melt. That doesn't seem safe!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
