Newer model by 5 years not as good

When our 5 year old version of the same model failed, we thought getting the same model would ease the re-installation, but not so fast. All of the mounting was different, which was disappointing. It's also not as solid, the fan is louder, and it does not have all of the same functions

It wasn’t in use for even two months and it quit working. The appliance repair place is having a hard time getting the parts.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We really like the speed & convenience of touching 1, 2, 3 etc and having the MW run for that many minutes.
