Slate finish to match range/oven

I like the microwave, but have only had it a short time. My other one was was also a GE, but was in a stainless finish both outside and inside. I did like that my previous one was slightly larger on the inside and also had a removable rack inside. This one one was selected to match the slate finish GE range/oven below it.

One of the features we bought this microwave for was that it had a recessed turntable. When I installed the turntable it was not recessed. I called GE and was told they made an engineering change in that model and it no longer came with a recessed turntable. They just had not changed the specifications on their website yet.

We like the features, especially the Express Cook and +30 second buttons. Would have liked a Custom button and a little higher power level, but overall it works well for us. It matches our existing stainless steel GE appliances in our kitchen.

Second day using my new microwave. I was boiling water when all of a sudden the fan went on. Did not realize that this would happen. Heat from steam caused fan to go on. This did not occur with my GE Profile which I had for ten years. Guess this is an improvement to keep safe. Good move!
