Not working

Trying to set up with macbook pro. Computer does not recognize the device. Installation instructions say do not connect until you've loaded disk and downloaded software. Macbook pro doesn't have a cd drive. Went to the website to download driver and that's where I am now....stuck without a lot of help options

No Drivers : Complete Fail

No Drivers for El Capitan or Windows 10. All supplied software failed to install. Mac provides minimum functionality through Image Capture.
Wow. I think this may be on its way back to the store. The product that does nothing.

Great size. The install is a little tricky, but the scanner is fast and has not gotten a paper jam yet in 2 weeks of heavy use!

Been using this scanner for about 2 months. It has really helped me digitize my documents. Why 4 stars? Has to do with the software included. It's very basic and doesn't have any document management features in it. I decided to move to Alfresco Community Edition which is a document management solution. This has allowed me to easily import scanned documents and tag them for future look ups. The Epson doesn't scan directly into the app but I think with additional research it could. I merely drag/drop or upload documents into the system.
Hardware is 5 star. I've not encountered any issues. It reads in documents of different sizes and shapes; however, it does have an issue if the document is longer than 14 inches I noticed (e.g. car purchasing signing papers).
I'm glad I got it.

WorkForce DS-510 Disappointment

The size is good and has a sheet feeder to replace an Epson flatbed scanner. However, software disc took forever to load. Then pressing "Scan to PDF" on the Document Capture Pro does not work, it just runs the document through and gives an error message. The only way I got it to work was to press "Scan" and then sending my document and changing it to a PDF file. The "Scan" function was making my documents JPEG image files. The package software did not even create a desktop icon, so I had to copy and make my own desktop icon. After I got it to work it's okay, but I was about to just return it. I even tried to download the drivers and software from Epson online, but that did not help, just took a long time. If there is a "Scan to PDF" button it should work, but it does not for this sanner.

Fine for documents, not for photos

We were looking for a faster scanner to import 8x10 photos. No doubt this scanner is fast, but when it comes to quality…look elsewhere. No matter what speed, dpi, or settings I try, or how many times I clean it, there are multiple lines that show up in almost every image! It's added time to my workflow because now I have to remove all of the lines from the images. So annoying!

scanner is working ok, the software drivers had to be loaded or reloaded 3 times and still there is no connection to the printer. Still working through this challenge.
