This scanner works quickly producing clear scans. At first start-up, we were unable to set the page size to auto adjust to the document page size, but it is working now. It stops immediately if multiple pages feed. I have not been able to get it to feed a driver's license to scan, even though it is designed to do that. Reading the instructions is important.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Scanner is fine but UI is horribaly outdated

User interface is nothing but HORRIBLE. You cannot simply scan a page, preview and name it. You first ave to preview, if you like what you see there is no option to just save it. You have to RESCAN the same thing and then save it.
You have to select folder and name before scanning. It's just tedious. Hope they come up with a new interface.

Workhorse Scanner

I have used this scanner for about 10 months now. For a few of those months, I needed to scan all of the files in my office to digital format. We are talking anywhere from 2 to 1,000 pages per file and I had over 1,000 files to scan. I got this scanner primarily to handle that load and boy am I glad that I got it. It took all of those scans in stride. After hundreds of thousands of scans, it still has yet to have any problems. It does not squeak or anything of the sort. It's a little pricey, but if you are looking for the top of the line scanner that can scan color, front and back at the same time, and do it all very quickly, then this is the scanner for you. If you are looking to do just a little bit of scanning here and there, then it might be a bit much for you, unless you don't mind paying the hefty price for the occasional use type scanner. I recommend anyone to buy it if they have it in their budget.

Great scanner!

The scanner has worked flawlessly since I got it. The software program is very user friendly. The only thing that I would like to see change is the feed tray for documents, I would like to see the size maybe doubled. Small thing, overall a great scanner.

Epson advertises software for Mac users that won't run on Mac 10.10 or PCs only. Still trying to find Business Card Software before I return the scanner.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This has truly been a workhorse! As a bookkeeper, I scan hundreds of documents daily. I've had the product for about 3 months with absolutely no issues. It has been a huge time saver over previous scanning methods. Highly recommended.

The Software could be better

Great machine, very quick and efficient but not easy to figure out, it takes a while to get use to. The program "Document Capture Pro" does not launch properly ( must open it from the start screen not the short cut), the "Epson Scan" runs better. The user guide does not explain the different functions and the software set up in details, error and trial may help more.
I would recommend this to a friend!
