Nice, but probe function is not useful.

I've only used this oven a few times so far, and it seems like a decent oven. I am disappointed in the probe function, though. If you use the probe and set the internal temperature you desire the food to reach, the oven will turn off once that temp is reached. That sounds good, right? The only problem is that the oven doesn't signal to let you know that the temp has been reached and the oven is off. Meanwhile, if you don't check on it constantly, your food remains in a hot oven and continues to cook. What good is that?
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This product doesn't cook evenly with 3 pans of cookies. They replaced the motherboard, the fan and adjusted the door to close tighter and still doesn't work correctly and this over was less than 6 months old. They ended up replacing the entire oven with the same model thinking I got a lemon but this was worse than the previous one so we got a refund on it to buy another brand.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

An Excellent Replacement Oven !

We bought this oven to replace our original 8 year old oven. We are so glad we did. Within the same space, it seems like there is lots more room. Not having an exposed burner on the bottom makes for a much cleaner interior. Haven't tried the steam cleaning yet, but it should use a lot less electricity than the other way.
We also like the self supporting heavy duty upper shelf.
We recommend this oven to anyone who likes quality and features.

New GE Oven

New oven in new house. Somewhat of a learning curve to operate. Instruction manual was clear as mud. steps to set oven temp, time and bake are a little out of common sense order. Once 3 PDD's figured it out, oven was good to go. It is becoming a joy to use.

Good size and appearance

This oven is the perfect compliment to the Advantium wall oven that is installed directly over it. I have had my appliances only two weeks and have only been back in my kitchen after remodel for 4 days. Since I haven't used the wall oven yet, I cannot attest to its efficiency or performance, but if it is in keeping with the quality and performance of the other GE appliances I have purchased, I know that I will be very happy with it.

All my food cooks thoroughly. Awesome features and love that there are control locks. My only complaint is the broil... it's not a flame so the cooking is inconsistent. My outside food burned and the center of the tray barely cooked enough.

Wonderful Oven

I bought this to replace a 4 year old wall oven from a different manufacturer that I have been extremely unhappy with. After numerous service calls and ruined cakes I bought this GE oven and I am so glad I did. It bakes evenly, is very quiet and has excellent features. I use the proofing and warm features often and am very satisfied. I am so happy I bought this GE oven.
