The Perfect Double Oven

We have been happy with the double oven purchase. We get consistent cooking when we bake or broil. Having the option of convection and conventional is a great mix for us. We love this oven

Good, but not the best

Our new double wall oven looks nice, but has some drawbacks compared to previous ovens.
Baking sheets I used for cookies fit well before, but the interior configuration of the new ovens does not accommodate those pans.
Oven lights for both ovens are turned on simultaneously and stay on for the entire baking cycle: that’s a waste of energy and will burn out both sets of bulbs too soon.
The ovens heat very slowly, taking about 18 minutes to come to 350 degrees.
Even with good lighting and good vision it is difficult to read the control titles (like “Bake” “Broil.” The words should be printed in brtghter letters.
The roller shelf is wonderful to use! I bought a second one for use in the second oven, as only one comes wiith the double oven unit.
Even with graphite, the standard oven racks do not slide well. They drag and don’t slide straight.
The ovens seem to bake well, and I will continue to try out many different recipes to test them.

Instructions are simple and easy, oven cooks very well (and fast). As this is our first "new" oven in over 40 years, we are very pleased with it.

Great Look, Great Features

Purchased a new refrigerator days before this purchase. Looked at the local appliance store where we bought the refrigerator for a wall oven to replace our 25 year old wall oven. We wanted something too match the fridge as they are very close together and this oven unit did. But, would the ovens functions impress us as much as the looks? Absolutely they did! What a marvelous addition to our kitchen!

Disappointed

After looking for several months for a new double oven, I liked the looks and features of the GE. It was delivered the day before Thanksgiving and I was doing the cooking, right away I noticed the noise from the fan blowing out very hot air out the bottom of the unit, within a few minutes the whole kitchen was so warm I had to
open the windows and turn on the fan. I called the company I bought it from and they did send 2 repairmen, they checked it out and said sorry that was the way it was built, nothing they could do. I am very disappointed, I very seldom use both ovens at the same time because of the heat issue, next time I will look for an oven with a top vent so the heat from the vent will rise and hopefully not make the room too uncomfortable.

Nice Options, Good Looking Design

Has all the bells and whistles cooks evenly, easy to access food, and looks really nice with all the other profile appliances. Additionally, the appliance delivery and a repair person we spoke with all liked the quality.
