good for the money

Doing everything it says,I'm not what you call computer savy but it was easy to figure out,love it no complaints.

Not sure why it is not working

I bought the scanner a few months ago, it gave me error messages after scanning 1 to 2 pages, either communication error, or takes forever to buffer memory, and then when I check task manager, it turned out that the program is not working. I have downloaded the software twice from their website, and called their customer service, they shipped me a refurbished one, which has the same problem. I can't figure out why. I will have to call them again. Their service is good, but I have to spend so much time to figure this out. It does not serve the purpose of saving me time any more.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Bordering on my worst purchase ever

When I can get it to work it will will only work for a little while and then next time I try to use it it won't work at all for weeks.

Good scanner

I found this scanner much easier to use than the "neat" I had before. My only concern is that it requires the "Brother" software to operate. My iMac does not see the scanner when I have it hooked up. I still recommend this unit to my clients and friends as a simple, effective and efficient unit to consider. I also appreciate the support that "Brother" has provided on my other products purchased from them.

Been looking at Mobile Color Page Scanners for over a year. When the price got right, I got me one. I would recommend any of Brother's Mobile Scanners.

Good hardware terrible software

The product is good, it works very well and it is well designed.
The problem is that it comes with a horrible software: PaperPort.
I was used with a HP scanner taht comes with a very good software. PaperPort is heavy, difficult to use and the OCR does not work very well, sometimes it misses the characters (I tested the HP software and this one with the same document).
If this scanner came with the HP software it would be wonderful.
My rating would be 5 if the software was not so bad.
