3rd Dishwasher since August

We bought this dishwasher along with the rest of the slate appliances. We are on our 3rd dishwasher. First one, the door popped open during the cycle. Second one leaked from the bottom. We have not (knock on some serious wood) have issues yet with the 3rd one.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Good, but not great

Pros: quiet operation (you barely hear it), hidden controls, seems energy efficient. Cons: Door closure/interlock is finicky at the start of a cycle, long cycle times, flatware basket is flimsy, seems to require manual rinsing of large plates on Normal and Light cycles.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

A little leak!

Installed in our new home at our choice, due to the color and great reviews. If anything hangs a little below the lower rack, we get a little leak from the left front. Once the warranty repairman figured this out, we've had no more drips. Still, be forewarned. Dishes come out clean, but we add a booster due to the hard water.
I would recommend this to a friend!

We love our dishwasher

We purchased this dishwasher a month ago, and we love it. It works very well and gets the dishes very clean. We are thrilled with the cleanliness of our washed dishes. The only thing that could make it better is if it sang, but wait - it does! When you start the cycle and when it is finished washing, it plays a happy little song to let you know everything is working/has worked appropriately. It's a cute feature.

I have owned this for 8 months, the latch on the door does not stay closed and the door opens during washing. It's very loud and the seals are now leaking.

Looks great, works poorly

When you go the route of outfitting an entire kitchen with the new GE slate finish, you're stuck with a minimal number of models to choose from. This dishwasher looks great, but performs poorly compared to the 10 year old dishwasher that it replaced. The detergent slot is constantly filled with half dissolved detergent, regardless of whether we use liquid or the pods and dishes finish with soap residue on them.
Yes, I've tried all the cycles, the different wash zones, the various settings. I'm tired of being QA for a company whose product should work well given how little work I throw at it! Aside from the refrigerator, it seems that all of these GE slate appliances are under-engineered.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
