Door will not stay latched

It's been a pretty great dishwasher but the last few months I've had some trouble with the door not wanting to shut all the way. I kept thinking maybe something inside the dishwasher was blocking the door from latching properly. Unfortunately, as of tonight, the door will not shut at all because the latch is just not working properly. And of course my 1 yr warranty expired this week.

More than good looks

I love the slate and it looks beautiful but more importantly is the quietness, the lower use for small capacity for a single household. I love the various cycles the steam and dry without leaving spots.
I would recommend this to a friend!

JUNK worst appliance I have ever owned

IN short this unit is a piece of junk, we bought this unit new. It never really cleaned dishes well and never dried them at all. But it did break on 6 occasions and is currently broken being replaced out of pocket by another non-GE unit this weekend. we are house hold of two people so this unit was run maybe twice a week and probably only had 100 full cycles ever when the drain pump would fail it would cook dirt and soap onto our dishes. We have had baby bottles and sippy cups totally ruined by this machine. I am currently going to arbitration with my warranty company because they refused to say its a lemon and blamed its failure on user abuse. FYI we have a full house water filtration system and water softener so this unit still looks brand new but has never been fully framed into the cabinets because it keeps getting pulled out for repair and now replacement. Total JUNK.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Works great, cleans well, quiet. Easy to load for our dishes. Big capacity silverware bin. The door however, doesn't positively latch with an audible click.

Have tried running hot water prior has made sure the garbage disposal is empty have cleaned the dishes prior to inserting them in dishwasher and they still are not clean when they come out no matter which length of cycle I use

really impressed with the quality of the dishwasher. All components feel sturdy and look great. Stainless tub looks like it will last forever. Very quiet unit too. First time I ran it I wasn't even sure it was working. Had to open the door and check. Definitely glad I purchased this dishwasher.

Love it? My last dishwasher was a GE and it was 30 yrs old , it still worked but the door was beginning to leak
