2nd one in a year, 4 repairs...awful

The dishwasher worked great for about 10 months and then the arm broke and it stopped dispensing soap, no big deal surely an easy fix. They were unable to fix it so they sent a new one on October 5th. 3 days later that one completely stopped working, there was no power to it at all. A tech came and replaced the mother board and it worked for about 5 days and then the same problem occured again 2 more times and replaced. We are going on a week with a working dishwasher so time shall tell!
It is very quiet and if you put the rinse aid in it does make it so the dishes come out dry but if you do not use it your dishes will come out completely wet even with the heated dry. Maybe it is just my luck because I know my cousin has the same dishwasher and loves it....
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Does not clean well and leaves behind white residue. Tried different detergents and rinse aids, still same results. Cleaned filter, same results. Buaght it because of slate color with new kitchen appliances and reviews were good. Stuck with this piece of junk because warranty is out. We have hard water, but old dishwasher didn't have issues like this one.

So so dishwashers

I have used this dishwasher for nearly a year, it does not clean my dishes as well as my old Maytag did. I have to re wash some of my silverware and some top rack items.

Poor Quality- had to replace after 2 years

Two years old and had to be replaced because the electronic part that controls water coming into the machine broke and cost more to replace that original cost of machine! Will not buy GE again when I replace my appliances.

It's a nice-looking unit, but that's about it. I'm now about to buy on our third heating element (dishwasher is under 4 years old), and if you read the reviews on that part, it's clearly a common complaint. There's no food grinder, so dishes that have not been thoroughly rinsed result in build-up and a stench unless you clean the filters often. Go for another brand.
