had a previous dish washer had to turn up the volume on the tv to hear ,now with this model have to turn off the tv to hear if the dish washer is is operating, very nice difference well done GE

It is so quiet you can't tell it is running. Its main shortcoming is the length of time it takes for a normal wash and dry - nearly 1 1/2 hours. Second shortcoming is that when the door is open, it is practically on the floor. Otherwise, it is very nice.
I would recommend this to a friend!

It has all that need. Setup instructions weren't 100% clear, like what to do with final rubber trip pieces.

Top tray will not remain open and constantly rolls back inside the washer.
Utensil tray is in awkward position. It would be better positioned in front of the washer. The three sections of the utensil tray do not remain together and continually need to be reassembled.
Large utensils can not be placed in the utensil tray and as a result need to be laid flat in the washer.

Dishes do not come clean
Our previous dishwasher was a GE GSD3660G00SS which had none of these shortcomings
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
