So quiet!

Although my 15 year old dishwasher worked well and was very quiet, I wanted to update all the appliances together. I love that the top shelf can hold tall beer glass and I can lay down the racks on the bottom shelf.

We've been using this dishwasher for a month. I'm impressed with how quiet it is and how well it cleans. We have not rinsed our dirty dishes before putting them in the dishwasher. In fact, we have intentionally let the food get dry and crusty on the plates before putting in the dishwasher just to see what the dishwasher can do. Our dishes always come out clean. I'm impressed. Plus, the slate finish front is very attractive. It never shows any fingerprints, unlike stainless steel.

Most know the quirks to make it work right

I have had my dishwasher for two month and have had the GE repair man out twice. The repair man was very helpful with the quirks that need to be made to make this work adequate. First you must run your kitchen faucet until the water come out hot, second you must put your dirtiest dishes on the bottom and third you must always keep your boost button on. According to the GE repair man because the dishwasher runs so efficient per the government required standards their is not enough time for the dishwasher to heat the little amount of water that it uses to wash the dishes. Some how what is required by the government for ALL dishwasher is still wasting water and using electricity. On the pro side the dishwasher is very quite. Sometimes during the cycle I'm not sure it even running it's so quite.
