Great item!

I have just had the dishwasher a week, but I really like it. It is very quiet. It is a bit different from my last one in how the bottom rack is laid out, so that is the only adjustment I have had to make.
I would recommend this to a friend!

It's terrible at cleaning dishes

I have been using this product for just about a year and I cannot be more disappointed with it. Almost immediately, my wife and I were noticing that several of the dishes still had food on them even after running through the heavy cycle numerous times. We thought at first that this just needed a "breaking in period" and after a few weeks, we would be pleased. However, after a year, we cannot stand this appliance and are relegated to having to pre-wash, pre-rinse, and/or pre-scrub the dishes - just like we did in the '80's - before we run this dishwasher.
We've also had to deal with this dishwasher depositing a white film on all of the plastic cups that our children drink out of...even with using the rinse-aid that the manufacturer specifically instructs to use. Our previous dishwasher did not leave this film while using the same detergent. I am concerned that this film is the caustic detergent that the dishwasher is failing to remove.
After about 3 months of use, we noticed after a cycle that there often was a line of detergent sludge running from the detergent cup to the bottom of the dishwasher door that did not dissolve during the run.
After about 10 months of use, the door that is supposed to open during the cycle to release the detergent no longer worked and after a cycle, we've noticed that it is still stuck closed. This is not only aggravating, but our energy bill is taking a hit because of the need to re-run the same dishes through the dishwasher a second time. We've now had to start the appliance, set a timer for 20 minutes or so, and then go in to manually open the door ourselves in order to release the detergent.
To further add to our disappointment, the layout of the tines in each rack do not lend themselves for placing bowls or casserole dishes or anything with any depth in them - the tines are spaced too close together and these racks do not offer the ability to adjust the distance.
Although the slate color is ideal for our kitchen decor, all-in-all, I wish we could get our money back and get a new dishwasher.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Amazingly quiet

I love this dishwasher! It is so quiet that we sometimes open it without realizing it is on. The dishes come out clean every time even if we didn't pre-rinse every dish. I love the wine glass rack and the silverware rack which can be separated into 3 sections depending on the amount of silver we have. Love, love, love!
