Best dishwasher we've ever had!

The Slate finish is very elegant looking and the hidden controls are a nice feature. We love how quiet it is, how clean and shiny everything gets, and the adjustable top rack is an awesome feature!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Basic Dishwasher

We bought all GE appliances for kitchen remodel. Chose GE for slate finish and good history with our 1992 fridge. Thought this dishwasher would be similar quality. Turns out it's pretty basic. Long wash cycle. 3 hours. Appears to use very little water. Silverware is spotted with use of recommended detergent. Wish silverware basket was at front of lower rack. Can't place tall utensils in basket without them hitting the spinning sprayer. Best features are the quiet operation, hidden controls and the towel bar. Expected better wash quality and loading features for the price.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Amazing Machine!

Our old GE Profile dishwasher used to be a champ, however, over the course of 10 years and 2 different owners it eventually stopped being able to perform. We would clean our dishes by hand, then put them in the dishwasher and they would come out dirty. Needless to say, we didn't hesitate to check out GE first when purchasing our new dishwasher. This dishwasher is so quiet, I literally have to stop everything I'm doing just to hear it running. It also has several different options for cleaning and sanitizing - we never have to worry about dirty dishes anymore. On top of all that, the slate design is awesome - no fingerprints! We can't wait to match this appliance with other GE Slate appliances.

Overall, we are very pleased with the dishwasher. It is very quiet and does a good job of cleaning. I particularly like the silverware caddies, which easily hold silverwear with large handles. The drying could be a bit better, but that problem seems to be true for all new dishwashers.
