High Pitched Motor Hurts My Ears

This dishwasher overall, does a good job cleaning dishes. However the motor makes such a high pitch noise it hurts my ears and I have to leave the room. After contacting GE and having the technician who came to fix my brand new GE fridge listen to it - I was told it was normal for this particular model. So for all of you who are sensitive to high pitched hums - this might not be the model for you. Also the interior racks for stacking dishes are poorly designed. The design does not maximize different stacking options and the prongs are small and flimsy. The normal setting for wash and dry takes about 3 hours and the dishes don't really dry - which I'm told is normal with these types of new dishwashers.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Decent dishwasher most of the time

Looks good. Works ok most of the time, but leaks water around the gasket occasionally.

I like all of the wash and dry cycle options.It cleans my dishes very well.I love the slate color,it blends in with the color of my cabinets.

Stylish look

A few months ago I bought a brand new house and this dish washer came with it. It looks good with other GE products in my kitchen but what makes me unhappy is that some washing cycles can last over 180 minutes. I think it's not at all reasonable. I wish I could exchange it for a different model.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Love My Dishwasher's Happy Dishes Are Done Song!

I love my Slate GE dishwasher! The darker matte color blends in seamlessly with my dark countertop and oil rubbed bronze cabinet pulls and faucet. The stainless inside is much more durable than my old white plastic one. And it chimes out a cute little jingle when the cycle ends.

So quiet, love that aspect. Don't care for the slotted tops on the silverware holders all that much. Love the slate color and choices on features to run it are great.
