Looks great! Very difficult to get dishes clean

My husband and I love the look of the GE slate dishwasher. It runs extremely quiet which is so nice. I despise washing dishes so we went ahead and got the nicer dishwasher in hopes it would help clean the dishes better and such. Unfortunately it has not measured up to our expectations leaving many many loads of dishes not fully clean and at times not even opening the soap dispenser. If you do happen to get a clean load it is only because of these things, very few dishes + no food left on dishes when put in + heavy cycle for every wash + soap dispenser opens during wash (if any of these are off, then they don't clean well). I just think that if an appliance costs above standard, they should perform at above standard.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Good Dishwasher

I am happy with the way this dishwasher cleans. In the beginning it was so quiet that you would not know it was running. However it has developed a whistle sound, which is irritating.

The cycle takes WAY too long!

I bought this product 3 months ago. The washing cycle is way too long and the soap has stained the inside door of the dishwasher.

Good features....didn't want typical stainless

I am impressed with how quiet it runs. It also looks great. I like the slate tone, as opposed to regular stainless steal. It tones it down some and goes better with my log home.

Problem with location of dishwash dispenser

If you put a tall dish in front of the soap dispenser (which is located in the door), the soap in the dispenser does not get pushed out of the dispenser to clean your dishes. You have to arrange your dishes so that nothing tall is in front of the soap dispenser and since your bottom basket is for larger dishes, you sometimes can't have a full load to wash. Very disappointed.

I bought and installed my dishwasher a couple months ago and it has worked wonderfully. It is so quiet during the while wash cycle. The loudest part is when it empties into the drain. The dishes are washed, no presoak required. I love all the adjustments that can be made with the racks and has fit my needs perfectly!
I would recommend this to a friend!
