Disappointing performance
on April 23, 2021
Posted by: Dissatisfied in NC
from NC
We purchased this dishwasher in 2015 along with a fridge, range, and microwave. The dishwasher performed well for 4 years, but I have had 3 service visits and it is seemingly irreparable. I feel like the company should be able to repair their own products.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Worked fine, then it doesn't
on May 4, 2021

Five years old, will not dry dishes. Worked flawlessly until now. Factory service comes out and services said there is nothing wrong, it's fine... Used settings recommend by service person and it leaves my dishes wet every time. But he said the heater works fine.

Hi - Thank you for reaching out to us. We are sorry to hear you are having difficulty with the drying function on your dishwasher. Poor dry performance can be be caused by a number of factors besides the heating element. Our apologies if the technician went over this information with you. We want to be sure you are getting the best wash and dry performance possible.
Water entering the dishwasher should be between 120 and 140 degrees F. for best wash and dry performance. To check the water temperature, run the hot water at the kitchen sink and measure the temperature of the running water with a candy or meat thermometer. Adjust the temperature of the water heater as needed.
Select the Wash Heat Boost option for every cycle. The hotter the water, the better dry performance will be achieved as this will help the water evaporate off your dishes. Finally, be sure you are using a Rinse Aid. This too will help in the removal of excess moisture from your dishes. If these tips do not help resolve your situation, we would recommend having service back out. We do appreciate the inconvenience this may cause you and apologize in advance. We truly wish you all the best! Vikki@GEA

Leaks water and the “stainless steel” door rusted
on August 16, 2021

from Florida
Machine leaked water during run cycles and caused the fake stainless steel finish on door to rust. Door latch also easily broke. After replacing door latch and a faulty door gasket it stopped leaking.

Short life for expensive DW

4 years and required 225. Part to stop leaking water into tub. Year 5 motor went, cheaper to get a new appliance than repair this one. What happened to GE quality? Went overseas...garbage.

Phenomenal system

This GE washer is phenomenal! It cleans and dryes the dishes completely.
I love the steam cycle at gets stuck on from off with no problem. The controls are very easy to use. Installing the unit it is self explanatory for the DIY-er. I recommend using fresh water hoses and get some electric grease as an added protection from water or condensation getting in the electrical box.
The only issue I had I'd the loser adjustable are clamps are easy to break and the wheels fall of f the track and becomes disassembled occasionally.
