so very tired of all the stainless steel. the slate colour is so much warmer looking and MOST important MADE IN THE USA!

My husband brought this home and I don't love it -it has a stainless tub which I wanted but it takes FOREVER to do a regular load. My other dishwasher has a quick wash setting and I never knew how great that was until now. Can't even imagine doing a heavy load -212 minutes! I have a big family and not a lot of dishes so I need them done quick. I also don't like the handle-my 16 month old pulls the door down on himself all the time, I'm going to have to tape it shut. It also puts that food guck in the bottom of my glasses so I'm really not impressed. BUT I don't have to do dishes so it's staying hooked up :)
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This dishwasher is so quite that you hardly know it is operating. It cleans and sanitizes dishes, silverware, pots and pans perfectly. It is so roomy which is really convenient. The new technology does not require a rocket scientist if you read the instructions thoroughly.

Roomy and quiet, the rack options are a must-have

This dishwasher is fantastic. It's roomy, with plenty of upper and lower space. Has adjustable racks, fold down tines, lots of well-thought out features. I was looking at the model below this to save some cash, but I'm glad I spent the extra money. The key selling point for me was the shape of the upper rack. The lower models have a flat-bottom rack, so the depth of the space is uniform, which can make it difficult to hold large travel mugs, large wine glasses, be able to layer dishes for maximum coverage, etc.
I did read some reviews that mentioned the dishes are wet when done, and with the heated-dry enabled I haven't seen this problem. The 1 to 12 hour delay wash is fantastic too: I can load up the dishes in the morning, set a 12 hour delay, and if I haven't created more/bothered to load the rest of the dishes by the evening, it just goes ahead by itself. It's quiet-quiet too... So much so that I have accidentally opened it mid wash more than once. The build is solid and lightweight, and once I actually read the directions the install became much easier.
I'd like to equate this dishwasher purchase to getting a DVR. I didn't really need one and didn't feel like paying extra for it. But as the DVR, now that I have it I'm not sure I'll ever go back.
