Beautiful and works amazingly!

We bought this dishwasher and couldn't be happier. The slate color is gorgeous. It cleans our dishes well (which we barely rinse). And it is quiet. Love, love, love!

the top rack comes out automatically which is really annoying. Dishes come out dirty if I don't pre-wash them.

Disappointed in Drying Feature!

I love the look of the product, but I was very disappointed in the fact that it took 2-3 hours to clean and it didn't dry the dishes on the upper rack. My previous dishwasher, a different brand-only took one hour to clean and everything was dry, in fact it was very hot to touch after the washing/dry cycle.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Locking Mechanism

We bought this dishwasher about 4 months ago along with the other slate products in this line. I love that the dishwasher is quiet, cleans very well....however, we have already had it replaced because because the door locking mechanism has broken. Seems to be a horrible design as it is only a plastic piece that slides into the top to lock the dishwasher. We have had the new dw only 2 weeks maybe and it is already starting to give us problems, taking 5 min to try and lock the door to run the dishwasher. This is very frustrating to say the least. And not to mention the time my my husband has missed from work to get it looked at, told it's bad, then again to have them come out an replace. We see in the near future that this one will most likely need to be replaced again very soon. Our next step is to go down a step to the lower version of this dishwasher, hoping it won't have the same latch on this one. The tech that replaced it said that he has replaced many for the same reason. We LOVE the slate look and are very concerned that if this keeps happening we will have to replace all 4 appliances because you can't replace one, then it won't match the slate appearance. Is anyone looking into changing the latch on this dishwasher?

The door lowers all the way to the floor making it difficult for older and disabled people to use. When putting dishes in from the sink water gets all over the floor. I find it difficult to reach so low to put in silverware on the lower shelf. I find the lower shelf does not conform to my dishes/pots/pans. I could get more in my old dishwasher.

Very quiet and does a good job of washing. Slate color looks great and is much easier up keep than S.S. Everyone comments on it.
