Beautiful Color and Performance!

We purchased this dishwasher to complete our kitchen upgrade of new appliances. Our old ivory/cream ones were 20 years old. I knew I wanted a change but didn't like stainless. I found GE's line of performance appliances in this Slate color. This dishwasher is a pretty as it is quiet. Super quiet! It has a really nice layout to allow loading tons of dishes/pots etc and I love the long big silverware caddy that sits on the bottom rack. Wish the top rack had a smaller caddy version too, but it doesn't come with one. Gets whatever I put in sparkling clean and my dishes/glasses are in the same position I loaded them in. I'm very happy with the performance and the Slate color! Thanks GE for getting it right! Now about a smaller caddy for the top rack ...

First dishwasher I've purchased and I am very pleased. This cleans great and is very quiet! The slate finish looks good and there are so many settings and controls you can use.

This dishwasher is very quiet, easy to load and gets the dishes very clean with minimal rinsing. I also purchased a slate range a year ago, I love the look of the slate and it is easy to clean. Also love the sanitize feature.

I bought this GE Slate dishwasher about 2 weeks ago and absolutely love it!! It is so quiet, I love the adjustable rack and all the options it has on it. I browsed the web for some time and I know I made the right choice!!! Life is good!!

Attractive dishwasher

The slate color fits well with my otherwise white kitchen; decided more white would be blinding. The rack and spray arms are dark, which can make the interior hard to see into if installed where lighting is scarce. Cleans pretty well, although some staining residue (coffee & tea cups, blueberries in oatmeal) needs pre-scrubbing or even Clorox. The option of upper or lower cleaning only is surprisingly useful. Thought the manual could give more info on good loading, but the pictures supplied and individual experimentation on your own needs is probably as good as can be expected; I don't do a 12 piece setting of all the same china and suspect most don't either. It might simply be the installation of my unit, but there were a few drops of water below the left side of the door during one early use, but *firm* closing has kept me from experiencing that again, so I never even called. But I am a little worried that the small, plastic center door latch will loosen up over time and I might see that again.
