Great except for the racks!

I like the slate and I love how quiet the dishwasher is! But the racks are not very good for stacking! The glasses are not sturdy and my square bowls do not fit in the racks. The rack in our old Whirlpool dishwasher was so much better for stacking!

Cleans well but a couple engineering flaws

This is the first GE de we've owned. No complaints on how it cleans but the locking mechanism as it closes isn't the best design...doesn't always click tight and often needs to be closed twice before beginning the cycle. Also, there is always a bit of leakage on the floor at the front left corner during unloading. On the upside, we love the slate finish and it is a very quiet machine -- and we have hardwood kitchen floor.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Quiet, and saves water

We remodeled our kitchen a few months, My wife saw the slate color one, and she had to have it. It is so quite that when we first got it I had to open during a wash cycle to make sure it was working. Extremely happy with it..

We bought this about 3 months ago and we love it! It washes everything really well and our water bill has gone down! Plus I can adjust things and it doesn't get water spots like stainless steel appliances (and we have a dog and cat who like to lick everything). FYI - I'd only use cascade pods with it though - the finish tabs DO NOT WORK!
