What a Disappointment!

I've only had this dishwasher for a few months and I dread having to use it. If I use the "light wash" as I did in my previous dishwasher, the initial wash water does not get hot. Therefore, every load must be washed on normal or higher so I can use the water temperature boost feature. I just did a load and I have 3 ice cream bowls, 3 large plastic bowls, 4 place knives and 2 large serving spoons that I will have to wash by hand because they did not come clean. What an absolute waste of money. I was not told at the time of purchase that because it uses so little water, the water in the first couple of cycles would be cold. I had to call the GE technician and he told me that. Who every heard of washing dishes with cold water?
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Super Quiet

Purchased this dishwasher as part of a kitchen remodel in May 2015. It's so quiet I forget it's on. I chose this model because I specifically wanted something with the side cutlery basket. The racks are easy to adjust and the steam feature is awesome. The hidden controls give is a sleek clean look which is an added plus I hadn't considered. I'm definitely pleased.

The hidden controls are great for toddlers, it cleans great and it's supper quiet. Delayed wash button is helpful and the adjustable tongs on the bottom are nice. You can lower the top rack for tall glasses or to put in small dishes and just run the top.

This dishwasher has gotten my dishes very clean. You just have to be careful that it turns on when you think you've turned it on.

Nice looking, quiet & cleans pretty well. It's wash cycles are really long, though - almost 2 hours for the light wash, well over 3 hours for the heavy wash.
