They have a door problem!!

About two months ago I purchased all new GE appliances, everything even a washer and dryer. For the most part they are wonderful. However the dishwasher is not at all up to the GE standards I have used prior. The challenge has been the door. It does not close!!! When the installation was done, the worker said he was running the dishwasher to make sure we are good to go. I did not know the sounds my new dishwasher made so I assumed the installer new what he was doing and I signed off on the product. Please...if you learn anything from this review...do not sign until you know everything works correctly because no matter what store you purchase it from, once you sign they walk away and it becomes your problem.
GE has been very good with getting it fixed but the workers have let us know that this issue will happen again in the dishwasher's life. He even said the door should be recalled. The sad part is that I am not a wealthy person and I would imagine that most families who purchase this product line are not wealthy either and do have to save to replace an appliance. We were so excited about all our appliances and to have a brand new dishwasher never work properly is just heart-breaking.
Please be careful with this product and of the similar ones. I am sure the door latch part is the same on all of them.

Gets a lot of use in our home, but loading is a bit odd. The door opens very low and depending on where you load dishes, the water device doesn't spin.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
