Quiet & Cleans Well!

I have owned several dishwashers and GE is by far the best. The dishes actually stand up and stay standing in the lower rack which was incredibly frustrating with other brands previously owned. It's extra quiet and performs well. Be sure to use a high quality soap that's recommended by GE and your dishes will come out nice and clean.

GDT580SSF6SS is a quiet machine. Replaced an older, but very similar construction GE dishwasher. Install was straight forward. One critique is the super cheap quality of the leveling feet on the chassis. The feet are thin tin and can bend. Also there's no poly lock on the feet thread, so when you push the machine under the counter, the feet rotate, changing your level settings. This was a small source of frustration.
The xxF6SS has been in service for almost a month and works well so far.
Another critique is the thin nature of the stainless door skin. It's thin! and there's no backing to it, so if it gets bumped, it can dent / bend. This happened to my last GE.
The topside door controls don't really conceal either. This design uses the counter bottom to conceal the controls. Not the nicest design I've seen. This machine is a nice value play if you can find cheap when there's factory overstock.
The xxF6SS has been in service for almost a month and works well so far.

We got this dishwasher a few months ago. Install was very simple. Everything works, no leaks. Make sure the appliance is level, and connections are tight. Space is tight, but hookups are well forward. Decent design. Very quiet but we are comparing it to a 30 year old appliance which we removed (still worked doubt this one will make it 30 years.) There is some condensation on the door and walls after wash, even though we usually let the dishes sit over night. This is a stainless tub, so maybe it just shows more. Not a huge problem just annoying.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I'm happy with the dishwasher because it's quiet, it cleans the dishes and it doesn't take too terribly long. Only issue is the latch is very sensitive and sometimes it unlatches during a cycle. I plan to call service for this, because I can't leave the house while it is on.

High pitch noise when running

Everything about this dishwasher is great. It is a replacement from a 10 year old dishwasher. The only issue I have is the high pitch noise it makes when it runs.
