It took me awhile to learn how to use it; am still in the dark about the lights and controls. The machine does a great job with dishes and glasses.

Bought all GE appliances for a new house, had them before. Items put on both the upper and lower racks tend to wobble or slide around too much. Smaller glasses put in the upper rack don't fit on the spindles, and slide around in the other areas. Also, the rinse aid compartment is TINY - you can't possibly hit that hole! I have to use a small funnel, and you still can't see how much rinse aid is in there. The best part of the dishwasher is how quiet it is. But doubt if I would buy another one without checking out the above issues first.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Slow and leaves food on dishes

It takes 3 hrs to run and leaves powdery substance on top of stem ware. Additionally there is frequently food left on dishes and silverware

Cleans exceptionally well

The machine, for one, is aesthetically beautiful - stainless in and out, with a sleak minimal design and front handle. The touch controls are easy to use. Most importantly, it cleans VERY well and gets the job done. I had one tiny problem, however - a very small door leak during two wash cycles. The problem was likely some food particle that got trapped in the seal, which made me a little uncomfortable thinking that the seal was too vulnerable to a leak for this reason. But it has since not leaked again, so it must have been a fluke. Overall I recommend this machine!

This dishwasher does a great job of cleaning. However, I have already had to have inner panel replaced for manufacturers defect. Have a new panel and it's already dented and scratched. Only had this product a few months. Also, it is very loud and sounds like water just hits the door.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Better than I thought!

There was a GE dishwasher in this home when we bought it a few months ago. Being it was only 6 years old and didn't work I really didn't want another GE. I love the one I got.
