Doesn't seem to clean well

This unit is nice looking and quiet but we've noticed that is doesn't seem to clean as well as our old Kenmore Elite. It looks like pre wash will be needed, maybe this is due to environmental limitations placed on the manufacturer and it doesn't allow the unit to use the needed volume of water.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I like this dishwasher except the silverware baskets. I don't use standard silverware. So it is hard to fit.

Purchased this GE dishwasher to replace a temperamental Fisher & Paykel double drawer dishwasher which gave out after 6 years of on and off service. First impression on this GE is that's is well made,controls are well thought out and offer many options while still being straight forward. The washer is very quiet, much quieter than our more expensive former dishwasher. Great wash results and the adjustable shelves allow a great deal of pots pans and regular wash items to fit in all at once. Very happy with purchase.

So quite no one knows its on!

We bought this dishwasher a month ago. We are so glad we did. The stainless easily cleans up with a stainless cleaner and prints are not an issue for about a week at a time. It's so quite you can't tell it's on, except for On light! My plastic items dry all the way with the heater on, which I love!

I bought this dishwasher and my husband installed it this weekend. It is unbelievably quiet compared to all of the various dishwasher I have owned down through the years and so far the dishes are sparkling clean.
