Okay but definitely not great

Based on reviews I read, I was expecting to be blown away by the quality of this dishwasher, however that is not the case. It cleans ok, but some dishes do come out dirty still. And it makes a terrible high pitched whining noise when it runs. If my old dishwasher had not completely stopped working, I would prefer to have it back.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

LEAKS!!!

This dishwasher began to leak after I had it 14 months - which of course, meant it was no longer under warranty. Over the next 2 months the repairman was out 4 times - each time for the same leak in the same spot. In October 2015, I thought he had finally fixed it. A month ago it has began to leak again. Once more in the same spot on the lower left side of the door. The repairman's response in the past was that I was loading it wrong. What difference does it make how you load it - either it leaks or it doesn't. He also ran it empty and it didn't leak. I don't normally run the dishwasher when it is EMPTY. I hesitate to spend another $89 just to have him come out to no avail. Not sure where to go from here.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Not at all pleased with this dishwasher. No rinse availability. Dishes come out still wet, l never put anything in with food on - always rinse everything first. Compared very poorly with Bosch and wish l had spent the extra cash to buy a Bosch, the best d/w ever.
