The dishwasher gets an unpleasant odor in between washes even though we always rinse the dishware before loading. We have taken the filter out to clean and have found nothing. But we do love the quiet operation of the dishwasher.

Very quiet

We bought all new kitchen appliances, including this dishwasher, in June. It works well and looks good in our kitchen. The thing we like most is that it is very quiet. Our kitchen is part of our main living space (not a separate room) so a noisy dishwasher would be a distraction and interfere with conversation. This dishwasher is so quiet that we can run it while we are entertaining and it can't even be heard. I sometimes hold my ear against the dishwasher door handle to make sure I turned it on.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Quiet, but.

This unit hasn't worked well will powdered detergent. The "pod" sample that comes with it eliminated a problem with residue on dishes after going thru the washing cycle. Too bad, because the pods are much more expensive than the powder that worked well with my previous dishwasher.
The racks have a tendency to retract back into the machine when I'm trying to load or unload. The upper rack configuration wastes space if you want to deminish the amount of water that collects on the bottoms of cups, bowls and glasses. Also, after their cycle is finished, even with heated dry on, things seem very wet. I have to towel dry things to put them away.
The machine is quiet and that is very good as I have a very open kitchen/living area. The controls are easy to use and the exterior design is attractive.
Overall I'm disappointed in the performance. It's adequate but not great.

The Dishwasher Has Never Worked Properly

I bought this dishwasher 4 months ago, and it has not worked properly since day one! I've had multiple problems such as:
1. Detergent dispenser won't open most of the time
2. At times the water never drained properly and remained in the tub at the end of the cycle.
3. The detergent doesn't dissolve most of the time, even though we are using the recommended detergent.
4. Several times we've run the dishwasher and it took up to 8 hours to complete the cycle.

I haven't used all the cycles yet, but so far so good. It's quiet except at beginning of the cycle. The only complaint I have is the color of the dishwasher racks and silverware holders. They are black and you can't see the spokes very well to place the dishes cups, glasses, and the silverware without having all the lights on in the kitchen. Please bring back the light gray racks so visually a person can see where they are placing their dishes and silverware!
